DO WHAT WITH THE PUMPKIN??????
SOOOOOO.... Here comes Halloween morning & we are finally getting around to carving our pumpkins. So I clean them up, cut them open & give the kinds each a spoon to dig the seeds out with. It started out really good... BUT THEN.............................

Caleb lost it. It was so nasty to him & he could not believe that I actually wanted him to pull the seeds out. He kept giving me nasty looks & asking if he could just get his costume on.
Maddie on the other hand loved every minute of it.

MY KNIGHT & GOOD WITCH
Caleb decided what both he & Maddie were going to be this year. At the last minute he changed his mind about Maddie being a bad witch & decided that it would be better if she was a good one. AND I just have to say that I really did try with Maddie BUT she was having NO part of Halloween. She had a cute little witch hat that matched her dress, star & moon make-up for her face & Halloween tights for her cute little legs- BUT NO!!!!!!!! She pitched a fit just putting the dress on. Yep it was great. Caleb on the other hand -- I cound'nt get him out of his costume. All he has talked about for weeks is how he was going to be a knight for Halloween. We practiced knocking on the door & saying TRICK-OR-TREAT. The saddest part is that we only went to one house. The rest of thier loot was from a trunk-or-treat that we went to with Debbie's family. No worry they had a great time & even Maddie enjoyed getting the candy.

CUTE SMILES
I was just looking through a few pictures & found these that were taken just for the smiles. No special occasion, just the smiles. Man I love my kids :0)

MY BIRTHDAY SURPRISE!!!!!!!
I just cannot say enough about my family. They are the greatest people. My parents are amazing people who have instilled in us the importance of hardwork, sacrifice, compassion, faith, hope, love, endurance, & family. We were raised to always be there for eachother & we are. The Wednesday before my birthday I had had it. I was tired of being in the house, being alone, I was missing the fam in Salt Lake, bla, bla, bal.... SO against my weight loss judgement I had decided to go for ice cream. I was bent over loading Caleb in the car when I hear a familiar voice say "excuse me I was wondering..." . I looked up & started to cry. Annie & Becky had packed their 4 little ones (a 3 year old, a 2year old, a 3 month old & a 2 week old) in the car & had come to rescue me for the rest of the week & weekend. It was awesome.
We did nothing. We relaxed, visited, watched movies & caught up. It was so great. I am so thankful to my Heavenly Father for family that just KNOWS what is needed. I just wanted to say thanks to Annie & Becky for being there- just like they always are.

From left to right Ali 3 years holding Kaiden 3 months, Maddie J 20 months, Kaysen 2 1/2yrs, Caleb 3 years & our newest addition Braylin 2 weeks. Thanks again girls for the greatest birthday gift ever.

MY LITTLE SOILDERS

I have to tell you I think kids are great. They always keep you guessing & laughing. This is how I found Maddie wtching T.V. the other day. You can't tell from the picture BUT the hat is so far down on her head she actually had to lean back to see the screen. I got the picture & headed back to work only to be held at gun point by Caleb just a few minutes later. I told him ONCE AGAIN we don't point guns at people. He very calmly reassured me that he was not pointing it at me but at the dragon behind me. He pulled the trigger, made a bullet sound, turned to walk out of the room & paused before he left to say "that's my job mom". He really is precious. He tells me all the time that his job is to save Jesus & kill all the bad guys. I truely hope that is what he continues to do when he gets older.

WELCOME TO THE FAMILY !!!!!
Braylin Marie Gallegos
Born: September 17, 2008
Weight: 6 pounds 2 1/2 ounces
Length: 19 inches
This is my baby sister Annie's little girl. I know there are alot of horror
stories around births BUT this story is a breeze. She goes in to be
induced at 7:00am, they start her at 8:00am, they break her
water at 12:30, about 1/2hr later she gets an epidural, and 2 1/2hrs
& 1 push later we have a beautiful little girl.
Congradulations Jaron, Annie & Kaysen!!!! We spent the weekend hugging & kissing on Braylin &
Kaiden (Becky's little boy who is 2 1/2 months old). It was
so much fun. We stopped by Shelley's for a visit & some home
decor ideas. Girls - Shelley ROCKS with home decor ideas.
She has got the VINYL touch. We love Shelley...... Even though it doesn't look like it in these next two pictures :0)
Can we say FEEDING TIME.....
and "I JUST WANT MY MOM".
I know every mother has been here. Maddie is at that horrible stage of always wanting
ME :0( She cries if she can't see me AND it doesn't matter who I leave her with, she goes postal. Poor Shelley just wanted to hug on her & she was a freak.
Caleb loves to try on other peoples shoes. On this particular
day he tried on Aunt Deb's boots. It was hilariuos watching
him trying to walk. Man WE LOVE this kid :0)

This sunday was a lazy one for us. It was Stake Confrence SO no nursery resposibilities. The kids have both been a little under the weather so we opted to not attend confrence. OK let's be honest, I would not have gone even if the kids we feeling great. It is so hard to keep the kids quiet for sacrament meeting....1 hour. Please, 2 hours of confrence would not help us spiritually-or anyone sitting around us. I do believe that Stake Confrence is important to attend & that the messages presented are given to help us through life. The only CATCH is that you have to actually hear the message in order for it to make a diffrence in your life. One day in the not so distance future we will attend & RECIEVE confrence.
We had decided early in the day that after dinner we would take the kids for a walk. It was hot during the day but by the time we left for our walk at 7:00 it was perfect.
We drove to the mouth of the canyon were there is a trail that follows a little creek. We let the kids walk, run, skip & kill all the bugs they could find (Maddie is actually the only one who enjoyed the bug think).
It was so nice & relaxing. I feel at times that life is so DEVIL busy that we forget the important things, the little things, the family. It seems that all the things that keep us busy ARE important & that is the DEVILS way of keeping us focused on un-important "important" things. Sunday was a great time for us. It is amazing what a little stroll in nautre can do for family relations.
My advice - find a trail with bugs, rocks, flowers & trees & you never know...you might find a childs imagination, a husbands hand & a listening ear on the trail too. :0)

Maddie is so funny, she tries to say & do everything that Caleb
does. It took several tries to get this picture because she kept looking
to see how he was posing for the picture.

Caleb thought it was pretty COOL that he was taller than the tree and....

...strong enough to climb this "HUGE" rock all by himself.
